CADIZ, Spain – Barcelona’s game in Cadiz was temporarily halted in the last minutes on Saturday due to a health emergency involving a fan.

Local media reported that a man suffered a heart-related problem during a Spanish league match.

Cadiz goalkeeper Jerimas Ledesma helped deliver medical equipment to Red Cross medics, while Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo prayed.

After more than a 10-minute break with the players waiting on the field, the referee ordered them to go to the locker room with Barcelona ahead 2-0 at the time.

The fan was eventually removed from the stadium on a stretcher with an unknown medical condition.

The game resumed for nine minutes after half an hour. Barcelona won 4-0.
