French club Troyes has sacked coach Erles after a winless run

BRUSSELS (AP) — French club Troyes fired coach Bruno Erles on Tuesday after a six-game winless streak.

Earles was appointed in January after Laurent Butles was fired. He was under contract until June 2023

Claude Robin has been named as a caretaker, the club said.

Troyes are winless in the league since September 18 and are 13th in the table after 14 games, just three points above the relegation zone.

Erles won two league titles as a defender with Monaco and was part of the coaching staff under Didier Deschamps after his retirement in 2003.

The Frenchman was then Monaco’s reserve coach from 2011-13 and worked regularly as a television pundit.
