LEICESTER, England (AP) – Striker Erling Haaland has been left out of Manchester City’s squad for Saturday’s Premier League game at Leicester with an ankle problem.
Holland has started every game since his off-season move this season, scoring 22 goals in all competitions, but was taken off at half-time in City’s midweek Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund and the day after the game. The limp was visible.
Julian Alvarez came on to replace the Norwegian forward for his second league start at Leicester.
City manager Pep Guardiola said on Friday that Holland’s fitness for the match was doubtful.
