Morocco names Zaruri in the World Cup squad instead of Harit

RABAT, Morocco (AP) — Morocco has named winger Anas Zarouri in its World Cup squad to replace the injured Amin Harit.

The Moroccan team announced late on Wednesday that Zarouri replaces midfielder Hart, who was carried off the field on a stretcher with a left knee injury during Sunday’s French league game for Marseille.

Zarori, 22, plays for second-tier Burnley in England and has scored five goals in 13 appearances this season.

He has previously represented Belgium at youth level and could make his debut for Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar.

Morocco will open the 2018 World Cup against Croatia in Group F on November 23, before facing Belgium and Canada in the 2018 semi-finals.
